The Coomloughra Horseshoe, located in the McGillycuddy Reeks is one of Ireland’s classic ridge walks. It has all that hill walking can offer – magnificent views of mountains, lakes and ocean and challenging terrain with a small bit of scrambling and exposure.

About the event
Come and join HBUK / Global in Ireland for our second Expo to the amazing Carrauntoohil in County Kerry, Cork for 2 nights.
Accommodation is a mixture of Twin and Double bedrooms Self-Catering Apartments. Sharing will be necessary.

This hike is Challenging and intended for experienced hikers / scramblers who have completed a Ridgeline hike before.
Itinerary • We will be departing from Liverpool Airport via Ryanair at 19:35 and arriving in Cork Airport at 20:45. (flights not included in price, you are in control of booking your own flight) (There are similar timed flights from Stanstead but that leaves Cork at 18:25 so you would need to make your own transfer from one of the parks we visit to the airport) • Coach transfer to the accommodation in Killarney will take about an hour. • Saturday morning after breakfast at 9am we will be taken by coach to the start of the hike. • The hike will take as long as it takes depending on group ability and weather. • The coach will be ready to take you back to the accommodation to freshen up before a free night to socialise together. Killarney is a great town for food and drink. • Sunday morning after breakfast, pack your bags and be on the bus for 10am then were off to visit Torc Waterfall and The Gap of Dunloe – details below. • We will then stop for dinner at a nice pub. • Then on to Cork Airport for departure at 22:15 arriving back at Liverpool at 23:25
